More than 400 students each in Higher Secondary and SSLC appear for the Public Examinations every year. An average pass-percentage of 95 and above is maintained. Our students present cultural programmes over the ALL INDIA RADIO regularly. In order to instill the habit of saving at an early age, students are encouraged to save money under the Small Saving Schemes of the Postal Department.
Curricular / Extra-Curricular / Co-Curricular Activates :
A systematic schedule of co-curricular and extra - curricular activities provides a rich and exciting experience for the children and makes the task of learning lively, progressive, creative and meaningful.
Indian Boarding school, We encourage students in a wide range of creative and cultural activities. The students are regularly taught drawing, painting, tailoring, handicrafts, dance and music. Students with significant aptitude in elocution, essay writing, debating, quiz, role play, Project works as well as fine arts are recognized and are sent for various competitions conducted by private companies, educational institutions, charitable trusts and various clubs.
They return winning prizes in abundance. Our school student's projects are regularly selected for the district level / state level science exhibitions. A project on Save Our Earth was selected for the State level exhibition.
We are very much aware of the importance of communication skills of our students. Hence we have a tie-up with the Institute of Language Management, Bangalore. They send their faculty to our school as resident teachers to teach English grammar, communicative English, Etiquettes and Manners. These classes are part of the regular curriculum for all classes.
We believe that maintaining the Physical and mental health of our students is as important as imparting education to them. With this view, all our students’ unto Std IX have regular yoga classes.
We also have a partner in The Hindu which under its Newspaper in Education programmed sends its faculty to our school for weekly interactions with our students.
Indian Boarding school, Summer coaching camp will be conducted for sports students to give rigorous training for a period of three weeks. Spoken English classes for students and personality development classes for staff will be conducted during May 2006.
Red Cross
The various activities of the Junior Wing of the Red Cross aim at raising the students to the level of good human beings, social workers and to add to the nation's growth. Under the auspices of our students visit old age homes and participate in rallies conducted on social awareness themes.
Club Activities
Various Clubs functioning in the High School inspire and encourage young minds to explore, learn and discover new things. Mathematics, Science, Language, Music, Fine Arts, Crafts and Games are a few of the clubs working to expand the capabilities of our students.
At the Higher Secondary level, various associations function efficiently, organizing programmes like guest lectures, oratorical and essay competitions, quiz, field trips, play acting, debate, paper presentation and music competitions.
Eco - Watch Club
Eco - Watch Club was started in our school this year in order to create awareness among the public about clean environment and the health hazards caused by pollution. Student members of this club collect news on environment and bio-diversity from the dailies and magazines.
They read this news in the morning assembly. They also undertake field trips and such educative activities and advocate the importance of clean environment among the public in their area.
